Rick has written this material to help fellow musicians
explore the many possibilities used when mixing odd and even note groupings
with different rhythms.
By analyzing how these groupings are applied rhythmically,
the player can then find his/her own groupings and apply them around the
drumset in a more improvisational manner.
The CD that accompanies the book contains musical examples
with and without the drums. Once mastered, the ideas and techniques presented
will definitely raise your listening and playing skills to a higher level.
